Once completed, they disappear into the day. The next person often has to ask for an update that could have been waiting quietly on the page.
Hearth is built around that quieter possibility. Its journal gives care a place to remain visible without demanding a new conversation for every task. A named confirmation answers a narrow question. A correction adds context when the first answer was wrong. Household instructions stay close to the record instead of being scattered across messages.
The temptation is to add more alerts, accounts and automation. Sometimes those tools are appropriate, but they also change the burden of using the product. A local care book has a simpler bargain: people keep the page and their backups, and the interface does not pretend there is a hosted service looking after the record for them.
That simplicity should not become false certainty. Names are self-reported signatures, and the journal does not prescribe feeding quantities or medical care. The household remains responsible for the instructions and for checking what actually happened. Hearth succeeds when the next person can arrive with a little more context and spend their attention on the companion in front of them.
